Prospect Capital was approached to provide a facility to assist with a capex program, on an impressive campus of buildings, providing office, educational, recreational and accommodation for up to 450 international students. The main school buildings comprise a Grade II listed former mansion with significant extensions, surrounded by more modern buildings.

Prospect Capital had the opportunity of working with clients who are an investment management platform specialising in alternative asset classes including education, and a public company listed on the Thai Stock Exchange. The clients had agreed a new lease with one of the world’s largest global educators, with a condition of the lease committing our clients to capitalise an escrow account within 12 weeks of execution of the lease. Prospect Capital provided the funding to enable these terms to be met.
